In good news for Pakistan tourism, Explore, a UK-based adventure specialist, is offering Pakistan tours after 20 years. Explore recently rolled out its 2022 brochure featuring trips to Pakistan.
Its two-week land tour of the Karakoram Highway sees the operator return to Pakistan for the first time since 2001. Costing around £2,299 per person, the 13-night itinerary winds through the country’s stunning landscapes, mountains and valleys. It also includes accommodation, breakfast, transportation and excursions. However, flights will need to be booked separately.
According to the official Explore website, the tour will cover Fairy Meadows National Park, Hunza Valley, Khunjerab Pass, Deosai National Park and Hopar Valley.

Interestingly, the development comes as the UK recently canceled its cricket tour of Pakistan amid security threats. The decision drew massive reactions as people spoke in favor of Pakistan. Even foreigners have claimed that Pakistan is very safe. Perhaps the UK is looking to make amends over its decision.
Nevertheless, the development is still welcoming, especially since Prime Minister Khan has pledged to boost tourism in Pakistan.

Pakistan goes to great lengths to promote tourism
To facilitate foreign tourists, Pakistan has introduced e-visa for 193 countries while providing visa on arrival for 50 countries. The government has developed the National Tourism Strategy 2020-30 along with the National Action Plan 2020-25 to provide a national framework for the development of the tourism sector.
Moreover, under the minimum national standards for the tourism and hospitality sector, Pakistan offers the best quality services to local and international tourists.
The PTI government has also reorganized the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) to fully focus on transforming Pakistan into a well-known tourist destination.
