Longtime Salt-N-Pepa Tour Manager Tommaso Giuseppe Steps Down

Salt-N-Pepa and their longtime tour manager have parted ways, Page Six can exclusively reveal.

After working with the all-female hip hop group – consisting of Sandra “Pepa” Denton, Cheryl “Salt” James and formerly DJ Spinderella – for years, Tommaso Giuseppe tells us he quit because of a “difference of opinion”.

“I have worked very hard for the brand during my time working with Salt N Pepa…” Giuseppe said in a statement. “At the time of my decision, the team and I had a difference of opinion and as a result, we determined that it was mutually beneficial for me to pursue other projects. I was cleared to relinquish my duties with the group.

Giuseppe recently fronted the band along with Naughty by Nature on New Kids on the Block’s 2019 Mixtape Tour.

Giuseppe said the decision was made “with a heavy heart” because he had never traveled outside of New York before touring with the “Shoop” musicians.

“We had a lot of fun and great memories together,” he added. “Whatever I decide to leave, I will always cherish them.”

We’re told that Salt-N-Pepa and Naughty by Nature manager Jimmy Maynes is giving Giuseppe the job of full-time tour manager for Naughty by Nature.

A representative for Salt-N-Pepa did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

DJ Spinderella sued the duo over the summer for unpaid royalties. The lawsuit was transferred to mediation.
