The Sharjah Government Media Office has organized a tour for media guests of the International Government Communications Forum, which kicks off on Wednesday, at the Sharjah Safari, the largest such safari outside of Africa.
The two-day event will feature seven main sessions, 10 inspirational keynotes, six workshops, 13 interactive platforms and 40 side activities – all led by 160 senior government officials, thought leaders and experts in government communications.
Participants will highlight the role of government communication in overcoming local and global governance challenges and social and economic crises, while highlighting the resulting opportunities.
Guests who visited Sharjah Safari included media personalities and journalists from various countries.
The visit aimed to highlight the various tourist destinations in the emirate which positioned Sharjah as a preferred destination for entertainment and family activities. Sharjah Safari reopened to visitors on September 21. The one billion dirham project is home to more than 50,000 animals from 120 species. These include lions, elephants, giraffes, black and white rhinos, crocodiles, deer, bulls and many endangered animals.

During their journey through Sharjah Safari, visitors will experience the types of African birds and animals in various safari environments, the most important of which is the lemur, which mainly lives in the spiny forest environments. Visitors will have the opportunity to walk through the natural habitat of the animal and discover the wealth of animals that inhabit Madagascar.
